We Are Here To Serve

Found this post-up in STAR newspaper last Tuesday, the week after we had back from Indonesia. It was saying that Obama Barak is making fun with his young fan, by letting the little boy to touch his classic-black-man spiky hairstyle. Well, this post-up could be just a normal entertainment news for many of us. But not for us who had encounter the 1st sermon of AFJ in Indonesia.

The 1st sermon is an official opening session for this grant conference. Pas. Philip had toast a warm welcome to visitors from Malaysia (ya, we wave back to him), Brunei, Hong kong, China, US and Taiwan. Many times in opening session, the host of the ceremony will most prob touch the vision and mission of the conference, sharing of how this conference being successfully organised, or even a more typical one - introducing the whole bunch of committee member on the stage and giving WOW to what they have done over the event.

However, not applicable to Pas. Philip style. He told all of us,"every each of us in this hall has PAID on their own to be here," Visitors from everywhere has paid to be in there, same goes to congregate of Mawar Sharon, celebrities (Vanesse Wu, Ari Wibowo, Sien...), and him - pas.Philip as well. The practise of everyone has not exemption is only for one reason - WE ARE HERE TO SERVE.

The annointing of HUMILITY clouded the hall when Pas. Philip asked some of the them to go on the stage and pray for him. Well, is not those who is greater than him, but those who are always take him as their spiritual mentor, respect him as like their general. Pas.Philip knelt down and asked them to place their hand on his head. Can you feel the nervous? If you have been asked to place your head on...er... sister Crystal's head, Would you dare? Or on Pastor Lau's head, would you dare?

In the holy ground of God, no one is somebody. Pas. Philip humble himself and let the cross to lifted high. It is not by anyone power that God is there. But is because of God's power, we are there. We are not there to look at someone, but may we stare only on the cross of Christ itself. Is by the power of God, that make thing happen. Pas.Philip lead us to sing the song of "The Holy ground". The presence of God is so strong in extreme. I couldn't stop my tears while woshipping him. In the very first time of my life, the glory of God is that tangible. It is that real that I was speechless. The glory of God is unverbalised, those words from my mouth cannot define a 1% of how truly glory of God is. That moments, I am silent.

Dear Lord, put on me with your humble shawl. I would not dare to stole a single glory from you. Is you who lifted me up in front of the man. Is all by your might that I am here today. There is nothing... not a single thing I can show-off. In you, I am just nothing. I will take off my shoes, my identity, my achievement and enter into your holy ground.

Lord, I am entering into your holy ground. May I standing in your holy ground, let me dwell in the awe presence of Thee.

Thanks You Jesus.

When I walked through the doors,I sensed His presence, and I knew this was a place where love abounds. For this is a temple the God we love abides here, and we are standing in His presence on holy ground.

Chorus:
We are standing on holy ground,
and I know that there are angels all around.
Let us praise Jesus now,
we are standing in His presence on holy ground.

His presence I know there isjoy beyond all measure, and at His feet, sweet peace of mind can still be found. For when we have a need, He is still the answer, reach out and claim it for we are standing on holy ground
